She played a younger wedding bride to a middle-aged actor (Shah Rukh Khan) in the film. The film was hit on the box office and was the second-highest-grossing movie of 2008. The year 2010 was the year that Anushka Sharma was in the movie 'Badmash Company together with Shahid Kapoor Shahid Kapoor, Vir Das and Meiyang Chang. The movie received mixed reviews. Anushka Sharma was in the movie "Band Baaja Baaraat. She played a Punjabi woman in the middle class who owns her own wedding company. The movie was a huge success with a lot of praise. Anushka had signed the contract for three films in partnership with Yash Raj Films.
